Unique Steamboat Attractions
There are so many unique Steamboat attractions that this is only a starting list and some of our staff's top picks. The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is a great place to call to ask questions, and your local libraries are always there to help too!
- City of Steamboat Parks and RecreationHere you can find information on Emerald Mountain, Howelsen Hill, and the surrounding area. This is our hometown mountain and it is treasured by our entire community. It is jointly owned by a number of public, private and non-profit entities. The parts owned by the City of Steamboat Springs are an activity complex that includes a ski hill, ski jumps, nordic ski trails, bike trails, horseback riding facilities, ball fields, an ice rink, rodeo grounds and a summertime alpine slide. Yes, it really has all of that in one place!
- Friends of the YampaHere's a link to the group that helps to protect the Yampa River. You can use the Core Trail that runs along its length through town, can tube it, raft it, kayak it, fish it, dip your feet into it, or just enjoy looking at it!
- Steamboat Springs Chamber of Commerce Events PageHere you can find information about events that take place in Steamboat throughout the year, like our Winter Carnival, one of the most unique events Steamboat offers. There have been over 100 annual Winter Carnivals and with the Lighted Man, the Fiery Hoop, skijoring, and the Steamboat Springs High School Band on skis, it's an event not to miss!

We know it's not the only ski area around, but we love the trees and the signature Champagne power that we enjoy on a regular basis. And where most people get upset when the snow starts to fall, in Steamboat we just get excited and can't stop talking about it!
- Strawberry Park Hot SpringsSteamboat has many mineral springs and in fact, a spring that sounded like a steamboat is why the town is called Steamboat Springs. You can walk around town and view the springs, soak in them at the Old Town Hot Springs when in town, or take a special trip out to Strawberry Park Hot Springs. A soak in these ultra-creatively developed mineral springs is a treat in any season and at any time of day. Massage, camping, and lodging are available, and the buildings are organic and amazing.
