The CMC Steamboat Campus Library generally issues library cards in person to students, faculty, staff and community members. Please bring your Drivers License or Student ID with you. If you are unable to come into the Library in person, you can use this form to obtain a library card.
Off-Campus Access to Library Resources
Many of our electronic resources are available to you even when you are not physically located on the CMC campus, or on a CMC network connection. See these instructions to learn about how to get online with our resources from the comfort of your home, the great outdoors, or wherever you can get a good wireless connection!
Off-Campus Login Instructions
Off-campus access to the Virtual Library collection is restricted to CMC students, faculty, and staff.
When accessing Virtual Library databases from off-campus, you will be asked to login. There are several methods that will allow you to login to the Virtual Library system.
Login through Canvas:
You will find a link to “CMC Libraries" at the bottom of every course menu. Using “CMC Libraries” link in Canvas will pass required authentication to the libraries' online collections.
Access from CMC Computers
If you are accessing Virtual Library databases from one of the CMC computers, you will not be asked to login.
The CMC Steamboat Campus Library has a large format printer - aka "The Plotter" - available to support the CMC Steamboat academic community. The policies for use of this machine are included in the PDF below. Please note that these are our introductory policies and we reserve the right to change them as we learn more about how the plotter gets used and is needed!
