Library Instructional Services

In-Class Workshops

You can invite a librarian to provide an in-class workshop for your students, focusing specifically on your research assignments. Contact your campus librarian to make arrangements.

Online Video Tutorials

The libraries offer a wide variety of instructional video tutorials.

Embedded Librarian

Upon the instructor’s request, a librarian can be embedded directly into the Canvas course. The embedded librarian service allows faculty and librarians to work closely together to facilitate research instruction. The role of the librarian might vary greatly, depending on the instructor’s needs and preferences, but here are a few possibilities. A librarian can:

  • Offer individual attention to students during any stage of their research process
  • Provide specially designed content for the course, including tutorials, suggested resources, and search strategies

Ask a Librarian Service

Librarians are always happy to meet with you or your students for one-on-one research consultations. Ask a Librarian service is available online, over the phone, and in person.
